Stephen
M. Butler, President:

Steve Butler founded TimberCorp in 1989. He earned a B.S. degree in Forestry, as well as a Masters of Forestry degree in Forest Business from Mississippi State University. Steve’s early professional career included serving as a forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission, as well as working with a forest economist in Tacoma, Washington. For ten years he was the first forester on staff in the Trust Division of the largest bank in Mississippi, where he eventually became head of the Trust Real Estate Department. While there, he graduated with highest honors from the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. Steve is a registered forester, real estate broker, and certified general appraiser. He received the Mississippi Society of American Forester’s Award as Outstanding Young Forester, served as President of the Mississippi Forestry Association, and is Emeritus Trustee of the Mississippi Forestry Foundation. Beth Butler, Secretary-Treasurer:

Beth is married to Steve and helped start TimberCorp. Beth attended Mississippi State University and worked many years in banking and for Forestry Suppliers, Inc. Beth’s strong organizational and administrative skills are used in handling TimberCorp’s accounting functions.
Dale
Johnson, Private Lands Forester:

Dale is a registered forester having received his Forestry degree from Mississippi State University. Dale started his career as a service forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission and then worked as a procurement forester for a pine sawmill. Dale joined TimberCorp in 1992. Dale’s strengths are in forest management, timber inventory, and reforestation. He works primarily with small, non-industrial forest landowners and bank trust departments.
Richard
Stringer, Institutional Forester-Southern Region:

Richard joined TimberCorp in 2001 after serving a number of years as a service forester with the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Richard earned his B.S. degree in Forestry from Mississippi State University and is a registered forester. Richard works primarily with TIMO accounts in central and southern Mississippi. Richard has excellent forest management and administrative skills. He is also proficient with computer mapping using ArcView.
Steve
Ozier, Special Projects Advisor:

Steve Ozier joined TimberCorp in 1997. He has a degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Steve has deep forestry roots having grown up working on his family’s tree farm. Steve is now general manager of the family tree farm–a property on which his parents earned the distinction of being the national Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year in the American Forest Council. Steve served as office manager for TimberCorp from 1997 to 2007. He now serves on special projects with TimberCorp while he devotes more time to serving God through his church.
James
Shumpert, Forest Technician:

James is a senior majoring in Forestry at Mississippi State University who is currently spending a year with TimberCorp in the Cooperative Education Program. James also has earned a Forest Technology degree from Itawamba Junior College. He assists with a variety of field work including boundary line maintenance, gate construction, GPS and flagging, harvest boundaries, timber inventory, and tree planting/logging inspections.
Ann
Elam , Office Manager and Hunting Lease Administrator:

Ann joined TimberCorp in 2007 after retiring with over 30 years of administrative service with the Mississippi Forestry Commission. Ann has strong administrative and analytical skills. She schedules and tracks the status of logging jobs and ongoing projects. She processes and reconciles payments and scale tickets from pay-as-cut timber sales and keeps track of vendor insurance certificates. She also administers over 130 hunting leases on client properties.
